The short version
CleanMacster scans your Mac on your Mac. Your files, file names and scan results are never sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account and no tracking in the app.
The app
- All scanning, duplicate matching and cleaning happen locally.
- The app connects to the internet only to look up whether newer versions of your installed apps exist (via Apple's public App Store lookup service). That request contains app identifiers, not your files or personal data.
- Permissions you grant, such as Full Disk Access, are used only to measure and clean files you choose.
- Settings and your ignore list are stored on your Mac.
This website
- cleanmacster.app does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- The fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested.
- “Send me the link” opens your own email app with a draft addressed to you. Nothing is sent to us.
Purchases
When checkout opens, payments will be handled by a third-party payment provider acting as reseller. It will process your payment and contact details under its own privacy policy, and share with us only what we need to deliver your license and support you, such as your email address and order details. We never see your full card number.
If you write to us, we use your message and address only to reply. We don't add you to mailing lists.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@cleanmacster.app.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on this site.
